Amy and Dan are Parents! – Seattle Baby Photographer

Amy and Dan were recently blessed with the arrival of their precious little girl. Shortly after the family arrived home from the hospital, they invited me over to meet little Miss ‘N’ and capture some images of their first days of learning to be a family of three. After spending time with them, I’d say they have the hang of it. Although we’ve communicated through email and phone calls, this was the first time I had met Amy and Dan but I felt right at home. In fact, I felt as though I were visiting with good friends and was simply there to rejoice in the great news that their daughter–their very first child–had arrived.

They made this session, and my job of capturing their family very easy for me. Amy and Dan were comfortable just being themselves and allowing me to capture these memories of them enjoying this season in their life with their wonderful newborn daughter (whom I never heard fuss or cry once). I’m already looking forward to coming back to do their next session at six months.

And I would be remiss if I didn’t publicly thank my assistant during this session–Amy’s mom. She was in town visiting and spending time with her new granddaughter and was just as helpful as could be (even moving furniture around for me!). Thank you for that.

Bonney Lake Portrait Session

Just before spring break last week, I got to enjoy the morning with Megan and Farid and their two sons. And, as an added bonus, Megan’s parents were in town so she had me there to capture some nice family (and extended family) portraits. Megan is my youngest daughter’s preschool teacher and I am really blessed to know her. She has a wonderful family and I truly enjoyed being with them. They made me feel so welcome and at home I almost forgot that I was there to work.

As you can see from the images, none of this looks like work. I really just got to eavesdrop on their family doing what they love to do–hang out together. They played board games, shared their favorite books, and even did some family cooking (although Megan and Farid’s oldest son is really the gourmet of the family). The family dogs even got in to the mix.

Megan and Farid – thank you again for welcoming me in to your home. I truly enjoyed myself and am honored to have captured these images of your family. I can’t wait for you to see them all but in the meantime, enjoy this sneak peek!

Newborn Twins – Auburn Baby & Family Photographer

Misty and Marshall are first time parents but they get to experience double the joy. Just about two weeks ago, they got to bring home their newborn twins–a handsome little boy and a precious little girl. Misty originally contacted me about a month ago and wanted to book me for when the babies were born. We originally had a tentative date scheduled for right around her due date which was in early April. Well, the babies had other plans and were so anxious to be photographed, that they decided to arrive early. I’m glad they did because that means I didn’t have to wait too long to meet them and see just how sweet they are. The cool thing about twins is even at this young age, you can already see the little bond that exists between them. Notice in a couple of the shots below how they comforted themselves by holding each other’s hand.
