And we’re back. I can’t believe that I have neglected the blog for so long. It wasn’t intentional. I promise. I just have been all wrapped up in the business of the holidays and had to de-prioritize my blogging so that I had more time for celebrating (and preparing to celebrate) with my family. Regardless, I’m sorry and I resolve to not go so long without blogging again.

Now that my apology is out of the way, back to the fun stuff. You may remember Alesia from her maternity portrait session back at the end of October. One thing you can always count on when seeing a maternity session is that there are some cute baby portraits close behind. Little Baby M is as cute as can be and has a mommy and daddy that adore her and a little guy that is proud to be her big brother. I hope you enjoy these.

I have anxiously been anticipating the arrival of this little girl and she was certainly worth the wait. She’s absolutely perfect and darling and adorable and I know her parents are blessed. Extended Family Portrait Session

I had the chance to photograph Todd, Kristy and Abby back in May. Since that time, baby Wyatt has joined the family, making Abby a big sister. When Todd and Kristy learned that Todd’s brother Chad and his wife Beth were coming to town for a visit, they asked me if I would come over and take some more photographs. Of course, knowing how well the first portrait session turned out, I was very excited. I was even more excited when I learned that Chad and Beth have two kids of their own. Avery and Abby were fun to watch together especially as they twirled around the room in their very pretty dresses. And I can tell that Grant can’t wait until his little cousin Wyatt is old enough to wrestle around and do boy stuff with him.

I had a lot of fun hanging out with Todd and Kristy again and it was great to meet Chad and Beth. And it was a pleasure to take photos of their beautiful children. How fun it will be to watch their relationships evolve as they grow up together. In the meantime, we have some fun photos that reflect what their relationships were like on August 18, 2008.

Todd and Kristy, thanks again for hiring me to take pictures of your family. Chad and Beth, it was a pleasure to meet you and I hope you had a safe trip home. I’m excited for you to see some of the great shots we were able to capture. In the meantime, here are a few to tide you over. Enjoy!

Family Portrait Session With Marcus, Marla and Fiona

I was contacted in early July by Marcus who wanted to schedule a portrait session for his daughter Fiona. We were finally able to coordinate our schedules and get together to capture some great shots of Fiona as well as of the entire family on the campus of the University of Washington.

Fiona just turned one and despite the fact that she was not feeling 100% while battling a little summer cold, she was a good sport during the entire session. I really enjoyed being able to observe her sparkly little personality and how cute she looks when she wrinkles her nose when she smiles. And there were plenty of smiles that came once Monster, her favorite stuffed toy, made an appearance. And her sweet little personality came out everytime someone new would walk by. Fiona could not let them pass without extending some sort of greeting and a little accompanying wave of the hand. I also believe I was present when she said “bike”, one of her first words that she uttered while observing all of the people commuting across campus by bike.

I really tried to limit the number of photos from the session that I share here but here are a few samples to give you an idea of sweet little Fiona and her proud Mommy and Daddy.

And to Marcus, Marla and Fiona – thanks for spending time with me and allowing me to capture such a special time in your life right now. I hope that these images will allow you to look back and remember every special little nuance of what your life was like when Fiona was a one year old.
